Our Mission
The Origin of Our Company Name:
“Kotomukeyawasu”
Written in kanji, Kotomukeyawasu is 「言向和平」—a phrase rooted in ancient Japanese mythology. It is said to be the sacred words spoken by the sun goddess Amaterasu to her descendant, Ninigi-no-Mikoto, as he descended from Takamagahara (the heavenly realm)
to govern the earth: “Bring harmony to the wild gods of the land through words—not by force— and unite them into one peaceful realm.” This reflects the spirit of Wa—the Japanese ethos of harmony: a belief in resolving conflict not with violence, but through the power of words,
by embracing even adversaries with love and compassion to create peace. We founded Kotomukeyawasu with the wish to share this spirit of harmony with the world.
